Welcome to our site!
We are the oldest continuously running Bluegrass Organization in the United States. The MABC was formed to promote the education and enjoyment of traditional bluegrass music and preserve the folk traditions from which this music was developed.
Thanks to everyone that came out to our
35th Annual Pat Strawhun Memorial Winter Festival at Eureka! We had a standing room only crowd, a reunion of The Over The Hill Gang, and a wonderful presentation of Pioneer Awards given to 5 recipients by the Missouri Bluegrass Preservation Association.
We still have special limited T-Shirts and Hoodies available as well as the original MABC recording of
"Grass Cuttin Time in Missouri" now on CD. If you are interested in purchasing these items, please contact us.
On Sunday Jan 8th, we lost one of our founding members of our committee. Mr. Dub Crouch passed away a day after being awarded the Pioneer Award at our Eureka festival. In his honor and along with the Missouri Bluegrass Preservation Association, we have set up a link to purchase a seat with Dub's name on it in the International Bluegrass Museum Theater in Owensboro, KY. Contributions towards the purchase of the memorial can be made by going to this link and paying the museum direct. Donations are tax deductible.
